Location

Just inside the Somerset county boundary, south of Bristol (19 miles) and the airport (10 miles) lies Axbridge, nestled in the foothills on the sunny side of the Mendips and neighbouring Cheddar – renowned for its Gorge, Caves and cheese! A village in size, though a town in name thanks to an historical charter granting it that status, there’s much to see and do in this Somerset area, although many of our guests simply choose to stay and enjoy the Old Angel in its Medieval Square.
